Background

The Non-Emergency Patient Transport Association is the national peak industry body for providers of extra-hospital care outside of the publicly funded emergency transport systems. NEPTA members provide services to public and private medical facilities, directly to the public and sporting organisations, emergency ambulance services, Department of Defence and many others.

NEPTA provides peak body representation for its members to both state and federal governments and is strongly involved in the development and implementation of regulatory frameworks and educational resources for the industry.

Since the evolution of non-governmental extra-hospital care, NEPTA members have grown to become a key component of the National healthcare system.
